Detailed information on co-payments, preparing for your appointment, consulting with our physicians and emergencies.

Co-Payments

Any required co-pays or charges not covered by the patient’s insurance plan must be paid at the time of service.  For your convenience, Utah Orthopaedics accepts cash or checks, as well as all major credit and debit cards.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Please show your current insurance card when you check in for each appointment, and let us know if there are changes to your address or telephone number.  Let the receptionist know if you’re being seen for a motor vehicle accident, on-the-job injury or any injury for which someone else is responsible for payment.  Please bring a list of all medications you are currently taking.

Consulting with Your Physician Outside of Office Visits

If you have a question or concern for your orthopaedic physician, please call the physician's office during regular hours. Please be prepared to leave a message. Your call will be returned as soon as possible and usually by the close of office hours.

Contacting Us for Emergencies

We have a physician on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to cover any orthopedic emergency. During normal office hours, please call your physician's office prior to coming in. On weekends or after-hours, please call your physician's office and the answering service will contact the physician on call. If you go directly to the emergency room, the hospital staff will contact the physician on call when necessary.
